I was comparing our old version Felicity with the new one in preparation for selling the new one and I started asking my daughter where were the original Felicity socks. She gave me this blank stare like Mom I never changed her socks. So I went through the outfits she had and whether or not it included socks and I think she is right, she never changed them ...so I am confused. The German one has almost tan colored socks, the new one are more of an off-white. So did they change too? Or does one of these doll have the wrong socks? Yet, I went through Felicity's whole collection in Meg's guide and I don't see either of them anywhere else but the meet outfit.....but the color is really different. Does anyone anything about the meet socks for sure? Beginning to think I am going nuts!

Our Felicity from 1993 came with the off-white socks. They are the only color I have known about.

The socks did change over the years. My 1991 Felicity has real wool off-white (almost a dark cream color) socks. She's now wearing replacement socks since the old ones have a tendency to get eaten by moths. My 1998 Felicity that I sold came with white socks that were a different material- lighter and more tightly woven. The white "meet" socks I got in her retired shoes and socks set also were the new type of socks.

Kirsten's meet socks have changed too, I noticed. The old ones were more loosely knit whereas the new ones aren't that hand-knit woolen look anymore.

Thanks! That answers my question....we must have an old pair of wool socks on the West German doll and the new version on the other. You are right, the old version is much thicker than the new as well as the color change! I just didn't think they could have changed that much, but I guess I should have expected it.

It's amazing you got the original socks intact! I've seen a few other old Felicity's on ebay and they have always either had lots of holes in their socks (like mine) or no socks at all!
